Anne Hathaway Teases Her Met Gala Return in an Impeccably Tailored Suit and Summer Sandals

Anne Hathaway is one of the well-known faces already making the rounds in New York ahead of the upcoming Met Gala (although, to be fair, she was already spotted in the city for Gigi Hadid ‘s 30th birthday).

On May 3, the actor attended Moda Operandi, the pre-Met Gala cocktail party orchestrated by Donatella Versace at The Twenty Two hotel, all but confirming her attendance at the biggest fashion event of the year. And things are getting interesting because this latest look could be giving us clues as to how she’ll appear on the red carpet this Monday.

Considering that the theme chosen this time is “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style,” with the broader dress code, Tailored for You, we can already assume that there will be quite a few suits at the event. It doesn’t necessarily have to be that way, either. The theme can be interpreted in different ways, as long as the looks reflect each guest’s personal style and the dress code is respected. However, knowing that this year’s exhibit explores the figure of the Black dandy, suit silhouettes like the Zoot suit or those of the Sapeurs originating in the Congo can be expected.

It seems that Anne Hathaway wanted to go ahead and enter into this year’s theme early. Dressed in an impeccable black Versace suit, the unstoppable actor stepped into this event radiating sophistication. To top off this two-piece of dress pants and blazer with a side pocket embellishment, Hathaway added a white poplin shirt and accessorized with stiletto sandals with gold accents to match her gold evening bag and the Versace emblem.

Aeon

We still don’t know what she will choose to wear for the big night, but we’re looking forward to her return after skipping last year’s Met Gala. Habitual front-row regular during fashion weeks and one of the best dressed celebrities, Anne Hathaway will undoubtably dazzle as she passes through the Metropolitan Museum of Art. And while we can’t wait for the day to arrive, for the moment we’re left with this amazing look.
