In the weeks since the Scandoval erupted, we’ve heard from nearly every one of Vanderpump Rules‘s past and present stars—except the woman at the center of it all. Until now, that is. That’s right, Bravo fans. Ariana Madix has finally broken her silence on the cheating scandal that’s shaken the Bravo world to its core.
In a statement posted to Instagram, her first since news broke that her longtime partner Tom Sandoval had been carrying on a months-long affair with her friend Raquel Leviss, Madix wrote, “I want to express my most sincere gratitude for the outpouring of love and support I have received from friends, family, and people I’ve never even met in the last two weeks.” Madix wrote that all of this support gave her the strength to go on “when I felt like I couldn’t even stand.”

As devastated and broken as she is, Madix added, she knows she’s not the only one who’s been hurt here: “I know that I am not in this alone. So many of my closest friends are also grieving this loss right now and reeling from this betrayal on so many levels.” In conclusion, she wrote, “What doesn’t kill me better run.” The world at large has already agreed that it’s on sight for Sandoval, so he’d be wise to take this advice seriously.
This is far from the first cheating scandal to have rocked the cast of Vanderpump Rules (its entry plotline was Scheana Shay sleeping with former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills costar Brandi Glanville’s husband, after all), but Scandoval has managed to top even l’affaire Faith in terms of impact. Because while Jax Taylor was always known to be a cad, Tom Sandoval had convinced the viewing public, his dearest friends, and, most important, Ariana Madix that he was different.
But now the Raquel’s out of the bag. So he’d better start running.
