Bella Hadid just reclaimed a historic red carpet gown from the Cannes Film Festival in London.
Hadid goes from iconic look to iconic look. Three days ago, we saw her on the Cannes red carpet, moving away from the revealing dresses characteristic of her past appearances at the French film festival. Over the past few years, the model and businesswoman has become one of the most anticipated celebrities at the event, bringing with her the excitement that only big stars achieve, as well as the impressive outfits she chooses each year. That hasn’t changed, regardless of the festival’s new dress code.
From Cannes, the model traveled to England for the launch party for her fragrance brand, Orabella. Of course, she brought a bit of historical inspiration from the Cannes red carpet with her to London.
The model was spotted on the streets of London in a silver chainmail dress, embracing the medievalcore trend and finishing off the look with silver accessories and flowers in her braided bun. But wait, we’ve seen this dress before.
This archival dress is from John Galliano’s Fall 1997 show, but that’s not the only reason we remember it. This design in question was one of the most talked about that year, as it was the one chosen by actress and model Milla Jovovich to attend the red carpet at Cannes and present the film ‘The Fifth Element.’
Clearly, Bella Hadid wasn’t fully ready to bid adieu to the Cannes Film Festival.
